Float “S.O.S. Amazonia” - category A

If the Amazon disappears, our future also disappears!
from this simple concept we start our new journey towards a distant place, out of time and precisely in the basin of South America, in the middle of the majestic Amazon Forest! The Amazon covers 65% in the Brazilian territory, and is considered the “green lung” of the Earth.

Thanks to its remarkable density of vegetation, it consumes high amounts of carbon dioxide; without the breath of its trees life on the earth’s surface would not be possible.

For this reason the cultural association Principato Mario with his work wants to launch a strong and clear “s.o.s. the Amazon is dying”.
The Amazon Forest, which we glimpse in the foreground on the allegorical grotesque chariot is represented as an oasis of beauty, a precious ecosystem where flora and fauna coexist, a marvelous primordial nature that risks disappearing forever. This immense territory is threatened by deforestation by man, a threat that is represented in the center of the chariot in an allegorical manner, in the form of the immense and monstrous force of fire, which with its red-hot hands unleashes the disaster. It is flanked by two shady figures, the poachers who shot the hand and unscrupulous hunt The most precious species of animals are at risk of extinction of the Amazon, such as parrots, toucans and jaguars that run away seeking refuge.

Poaching remains one of the main threats to the survival of the latter.
While chaos pervades the scenario, Here comes in we see him who is above all “the Curandero” the Amazon shaman. he is in a rage and while he admires this unworthy spectacle, he tries to bring balance back to normal by means of his divine powers! The Curandero wants to instill in each of us the love and respect of nature! Every year we lose over a million and a half hectares of Amazonia. it plays a crucial role to guarantee the stability of the global climate, if we do not intervene now, the Amazon will disappear forever.
